Drive the fastest American carsTest Drive 6 expands on its predecessors and tries to come up with more content, by including more vehicles, tracks and racing modes. Thus, the cars are now spread into a variety of categories and they each cost money, meaning that you do not get to just unlock them by winning races, but have to buy them with credits instead. To get credits, you have to participate in tournaments and bet against the other competitors.Before each race, you are allowed to choose the amount you want to bet, as long as it is above the minimum accepted limit. The other players match your bet and you must place first, second or third in order to get a share of the money, although the sum gets significantly smaller as you descend down the podium stairs. In the tournament mode, some of the money is also pooled for the final race, which means that you get to win a lot more at the end of the competition, if you keep on winning. Avoid being caught by the copsJust like in the previous episodes, the police is on your tails almost every time, which means that the races are not just between you and the other opponents. Naturally, if you get caught, you lose the race and have to restart it, although it is rather easy to maneuver around the police cars and avoid being caught.
In addition, it is also possible to play as the cops yourself, in case you get bored of the conventional game modes.The graphic quality may not rise to expectation, but the cars are quite detailed and you can certainly feel the weight of the car this time around, although the game still features arcade mechanics. Additionally, because the tracks are spread through locations all over the world, you get to see famous buildings as you speed through the city, such as the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the Big Ben in London. A fun, but repetitive racing gameAlthough the vehicle collection is quite large and there are plenty of things to see out on the tracks, Test Drive 6 does not come with anything different or exciting when it comes to the actual races. Moreover, the cop chases are rather dull as well, since it is very difficult to get caught and the AI does not shine at all.
