Welcome to!A subreddit for all of those who love the Total War series. Hello!I've been playing total war for very many years now.I reccenly rebought Medieval 2 on steam (lost my disc years ago) and downloaded Stainless Steel for the first time. I've heard so many good things about that mod so I'm really excited to finally try it out.The problem is that I'm very lost what settings I should turn on in the SS Setup menu.

Like early or late campaign, Grims Reality IV or not, permament watchtowers/arrows etc.I would be really happy if someone could help me decide which settings I should use. I want to get the best gameplay experience with the mod without making the game extremely hard:)CheersNimfrost. Grim makes the gameplay a bit deeperIts a good with those two enabled but I found it got boring with the (much) slower pace it gives the game. I had more fun on a late campaign with Grim reality and real recruitment turned off, Stainless Steel changes enough about the game to make it feel fresh without the extras.Permanent watch towers are useful and make sense to the gameplay.

Permanent arrows add nothing other than littering the battlefield with arrow shafts.
