Hello,My monitor is the ASUS VH236H. You can see it here.I'm having a problem with getting audio using the headphone jack on this monitor with my headphones. The sound will continue to play through the monitors built-in speakers instead. No volume from headphones at all, even after turning the volume all the way up. I recently purchased this for use with a PS3 to use with HDMI and it works great but the sound is coming from the monitor.is there anything I can do? I called ASUS tech support and I was just told to try another set of headphones.-Thank you,Dave.

Thanks to the above posters for helping me out here. Usually green is headphone on computers, so I was plugging into the wrong port too!@thomas oettli, I think you might be trying to do something that's not supported by the monitor. AFAIK, the green port is entirely just for line in from another audio device to play through the built in monitor speakers. As far as i can tell in looking at the manual, there's no provision for line in through the monitor, in fact, I don't think it's possible to feed an audio signal both ways, using hdmi. I hope that helped ya out!

1. Here's what I have. I have my computer, Xbox360, and lcd monitor all on the same desk. I want to plug my headphones into the monitor so I can you them with my 360. So I think what you said first was to plug the headphones into the computer and run the input to the monitor.
2. As your facing the front of the monitor, did you plug the headphone into the audio jack on the far left? While connected to the cable box via HDMI and a picture is showing, open the monitor OSD (On Screen Display) -Audio Settings, what are the choices for Line Out Source?

So I've just set up my PC yesterday along with the monitor and keyboard,I plugged my headphones into the monitor yesterday and it works but now plugging it into the monitor doesn't work,I have to plug it in directly to the front of thePC which would work except that it's position is kinda uncomfortable and hard for me to work with so I'm trying to have my headphones work when i plug it into.
